Calcium

for your

garden

Build a healthier, more productive garden with marine calcium made from Maine oyster shells

The Local Fix for Hungry Gardens

New England dirt is tough. Heavy pine drops and granite make our soil naturally acidic, which locks up vital nutrients and starves your vegetables of the calcium they need to grow.

We set out to find a 100% natural way to 'sweeten' the soil without synthetic inputs, and the perfect solution was right in our backyard!

Oysters shells are pure biogenic calcium carbonate.

We collect these shells from local seafood producers, then heat-sterilize and crush them for garden and agricultural use.

It's the ultimate local soil builder, made by the coast, for the coast.

Give your raised beds and fruiting plants the slow-release marine calcium they crave. Made from 100% upcycled Maine oyster shells, our crushed shell provides a steady, natural source of calcium to build healthier soil and stronger plants all season long.

How It Helps Your Garden:

  • Tomato & Pepper Vitality: Provides the essential calcium fruiting plants need to thrive and helps prevent Blossom End Rot.

  • Balances Acidic Soil: Naturally "sweetens" pine-heavy New England dirt, helping roots easily absorb vital nutrients.

  • Dual-Action Texture: Contains fine shell powder for fast-acting calcium absorption, mixed with crushed flakes for long-term, slow-release soil conditioning.

  • Slugs & Snails: Crushed shells scrape up the bottoms of slugs, snails, and other terrestrial gastropods, so placing a ring of it around your garden will naturally keep them out.

How to Use It:

  • New Seedlings: Mix a palm-sized handful (3-5 oz.) directly into the bottom of the hole before planting so roots can touch it immediately.

  • Top-Dressing Established Beds: Broadcast approximately 1 pound per 20 square feet. Lightly scratch it into the topsoil around the base of your veggies and water thoroughly.

Which Size Do I Need?

  • 1 lb - Starter Pouch: Perfect for container gardens, patio planters, or mixing directly into the planting holes of 3 to 4 tomato plants.

  • 5 lb - Raised Bed Pack (Most Popular): The recommended amount to prep one standard 4x8 raised garden bed for the entire season. Ex: If you have three raised beds, grab three of these bags.

  • 20 lb Homestead Sack: Built for serious gardeners with a fleet of raised beds, or larger backyard plots that need broad soil sweetening.
